EMS, Arriva & Tropical Rider Power New Products with Holofiber

As more manufacturers add Holofiber® offerings to their product lines, consumers will be able to easily find all sorts of products with Holofiber designed specifically to meet both their active and everyday needs. To start, Holofiber will soon be available at all 86 Eastern Mountain Sportswear retail stores across the country as well as on the web site at www.ems.com. The first product is the Aerator 1/4 zip top for both men and women.

When asked about her personal experience wearing Holofiber, Jennifer Edes, EMS’ Sourcing & Production Manager for Apparel, stated, “I'll give you my personal experience as a complete skeptic...After 10-plus years of sleepless nights due to my hands and arms becoming numb, I was finally able to sleep soundly thanks to the Holofiber carpal tunnel sleeve. After that first night of sleep, I knew there was something to this technology and that it really does promote circulation. EMS immediately began further research and field testing to evaluate the benefit to the outdoor athlete. We are still field testing but results, so far, have been very positive...As for me, I'm still wearing my sleeve to bed every night and no longer have any issues with my circulation.”

The Great Canadian Sox Company is currently launching a completely new line of Health, Medical and Performance Socks called Arriva, www.arrivacanada.com with Holofiber as a central component. Among the Arriva products is Medi-Tec, developed to meet specific needs of persons with health problems, and for persons working in the healthcare sector including a Diabetes & Sensitive Feet sock, which features the highest percentage of Holofiber of all the company’s sock lines and is ideal for persons with diabetes and/or circulatory impairment disorders. In addition, Arriva offers a Support Sock constructed using Even Compression, known to increase circulation and commonly worn by nurses and medical practitioners.

Developed specifically for travelers, the Travel-Tec socks are constructed using Smart Compression Technology, a linear compression system that maximizes compression at the ankle and recesses as the sock progresses towards the calf. Holofiber will increase circulation and reduce the risk of developing blood clots in the leg. A holistic line of comfort and massage socks, Time-Out features an ergonomic sock, which incorporates massage ribs to provide additional padding in the foot where it is needed most. The addition of Holofiber will enhance comfort and relaxation for the wearer.

Arriva’s Sport-Tec line is knitted exclusively with Holofiber. Composed of three socks, the line has been developed to meet the needs of
persons engaged in high-activity pursuits.

Arriva socks are available to the consumer as of July 2004 at pharmacies, sporting good stores, airports, health clubs, national retailers, online, door-to-door, and B2B for Arriva clients in the healthcare and travel industries. “Holofiber is a cornerstone in the Arriva line of socks,” explained Bipin Khimasia, CEO. “We initially discovered Holofiber while looking for ways to meet the needs of our customers with circulation impairment resulting from diabetes. From that starting point we discovered a much broader range of applications for our products. Holofiber has allowed us to develop entirely new product categories to meet the needs of shifting demographics, and has allowed us to expand our range of hosiery applications.”

Working with the newest and most cutting edge high performance fabrics, Tropical Rider manufacturers a high quality line of equestrian apparel, as well as a top sports fitness line including tights, shorts, tank tops and T-shirt styles. Holofiber with Lycra® is the most recent fabric addition to the product line. Tropical Rider has created a new equestrian breech, as well as shirts and workout tights with Holofiber fabric under the brand name TR Energy™.

Tropical Rider CEO Sheree Ganske, has used the new Holofiber tights extensively for biking and running and notes, “Now when I am out for my morning run, wearing the Holofiber garments, I feel immediately energized, so I know it works. It has made a difference in how I feel during that daily workout.”

Tropical Rider products are available at stores, in catalogs, and though direct mail via the website, www.TropicalRider.com or the toll free customer service center at 800.699.8560.
