Team Salomon
Canada Captain Praises Holofiber
Ranked number three in the world and with several wins and
many races around the globe under his belt, Lawrence Foster
is a seasoned veteran of adventure racing, a hot multi-sport
co-ed team endurance competition lasting anywhere from 3-5
hours to 10 days non-stop. In addition to being a very strong
and accomplished athlete (former elite level mountain biker),
Foster was the captain of Rope Rescue for Sault Ste. Marie
Search and Rescue Team, the largest volunteer search and rescue
operation in North America, and a Reconnaissance Technician/Instructor
with the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves. He also ran a sea
kayak and rock/ice-climbing guiding company and is an accomplished
mountaineer. His incredible wilderness savvy, mental toughness
and competitive drive have pushed Team Salomon Canada to new
heights.

Canada's Lawrence Foster and Tamara Goepel paddle to first
place in the Senqu African Quest. |
Just back from a major race in South Africa, Adventure Quest
Africa, Foster reported, “It was great to use the Holofiber®
socks in the race. Our team covered over 500 kilometers in
five days and most of this was on our feet. None of us had
major blisters! I also noticed a reduction in the swelling
of my feet after the race.” Team Salomon, sponsored
by Holofiber sock customer Arriva, won the race by a full
day, a significant win for a tactical race.
