TEAM HOLOFIBER TO LAUNCH AT PRIMAL QUEST
The Newest Sensation in Textiles to Sponsor
One Of Adventure Racing’s Top Teams
A new name in adventure racing will be on the start line, September
19th, at the Subaru Primal Quest in the Pacific Northwest: Holofiber.
TEAM HOLOFIBER will cover 400 grueling miles in 5-10 days, and relying
on their Holofiber apparel to help keep them competitive. While
the Holofiber sponsor name may be new, the faces of the team members
will be very familiar to adventure racing fans.
Holofiber is a breakthrough, proprietary textile that has electrified
both the outdoor and medical industries. When worn on or near the
body, Holofiber relaxes the capillaries allowing clinically-proven
and measurably-increased percentages in blood oxygenation which,
in turn, has been shown to build strength, improve circulation and
accelerate muscle recovery.
Such benefits make Holofiber a natural for the physical demands
put on adventure racers. TEAM HOLOFIBER captain, Lawrence Foster,
after the team placed first overall in the May, 2004 Africa Quest
stated “Our Holofiber socks made all of the difference in
the comfort in our feet. No major blisters for any of the team.
We can’t wait to get our additional Holofiber gear”.
TEAM HOLOFIBER”s additional Holofiber gear currently includes
tees and tights from Wickers, socks from Great Canadian Sox, and
bicycle shorts custom made of Holofiber fabric from United Knitting.
Robert Klein, founder and chairman of Holofiber LLC, is excited
over the sponsorship prospects. “The ability to get product
feedback and input from such an elite level of athlete is going
to have an amazing effect on our product development. We conduct
a great deal of scientific lab work, but there is really no substitute
for this type of torture testing”.
The TEAM HOLOFIBER members, who as Team Salomon became Canada’s
most experienced and accomplished adventure racing team, are:

captain, Lawrence was the captain of Rope Rescue for Sault Ste.
